Regulatory note
On 8 October 2026 ESMA published Opinion ESMA75-113276571-1742. Authorised CASPs should stop services to EU clients involving non-MiCA-compliant ARTs and EMTs. Legacy exposures should be remediated no later than three months after publication. The release does not name USDT and does not regulate crypto cards directly. An EU user funding or spending a crypto card with USDT should verify that with the issuer. The freeze and mechanism fields above are unchanged; this note is the addition.
