Company Registration Guides by Jurisdiction
Explore incorporation steps, documents and continuing duties in mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, the US, UK, BVI, Cayman and Seychelles, with official sources.
Incorporation, permission for regulated activities and bank onboarding are separate assessments. Use these preparation guides alongside current official instructions.
From preparation to continuing duties
- Describe activities, customers and funds flow before choosing the entity and permissions to research.
- Organise ownership, officers, business and operational evidence against the official local requirements.
- Verify filing channels and provider responsibilities; separate fees, capital and service costs.
- Retain submissions and correspondence, then plan ongoing records, filings and changes.
Choose a jurisdiction or preparation guide
- Mainland China incorporation
Identify the appropriate domestic or foreign-invested structure, then check market-entry and sector permissions. A company registration and a permission to provide payment services are separate questions.
- Hong Kong incorporation
Non-residents can incorporate a local company. Choose shares or guarantee, a name and an ownership structure; check secretary and registered-office requirements before engaging a service provider.
- Singapore incorporation
Follow ACRA guidance on company type, financial year, officers, shares and constitution. A local company needs a director meeting residency rules at registration. Foreign applicants should check eligibility and filing access.
- United States incorporation
Formation is state-specific. Compare the operating location, financing plan and LLC or corporation structure. Research foreign qualification when operating in another state; compare recurring costs as well as formation fees.
- United Kingdom incorporation
The official process covers company type, directors, shareholders or guarantors and PSCs. Reconcile ownership and actual control before choosing the name and business classification.
- British Virgin Islands incorporation
A BVI Business Company requires a registered agent. Verify the provider and proposed entity, then agree name checks, due diligence, filing and record-maintenance responsibilities.
- Cayman Islands incorporation
The Registry describes exempted companies for activities mainly outside Cayman. Compare the proposed activity and entity type. The word exempted does not remove every reporting, tax or sector obligation.
- Seychelles incorporation
FSA describes formation, administration, agent and office services as international corporate services. Check current authorisation and notices, and reconcile the contract and payment entity.
